- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the green beans and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped bacon and cook until crisp.
- Add the sliced onion and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the green beans to the skillet.
- Season with salt and black pepper, then cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is hot and lightly browned in spots.
- Serve warm.
